Chemanius show w/ Along Way Home & My Broken Hero
My friends and I drove to Chemanius yesterday, which is about a two hour drive from home, to see My Broken Hero and Along Way Home. It was held in a fire hall and not that many people came. That sucks for the bands, but we never mind if there is a small turnout because then it always feels a bit more intimate. Actually, it felt a bit like being at band practice :)
Despite the small turnout, both bands rocked hard and put on a great show, as always. This was the first show the guys of Along Way Home played back on Canadian soil after their recent tour in the states. They literally had just got back and all of them were so tired from driving and lack of sleep, but that didn’t stop them. What made me feel even more sorry for them was the fact that it was hotter than Hell in that venue and much sweating ensued. But oh my, it was so great to see them again.
It’s always amazing to see both these bands play a show together, and I’m sad that I’m missing the show tonight in Victoria. It’s going to be another kickass show I’m sure. Whoever is going, you’re in for a treat, as lots of you probably already know!
